UKpreneur has already reported on the proposed sale of the Entrepreneur publishing empire. Now good doing Bono seems the new boss!
Entrepreneur Media, the publishers of Entrepreneur, are considering a sale. Owner Peter Shea is reportedly in talks with Elevation Partners (the investment team co-founded by U2′s Bono that owns a significant share of Forbes Media) and Fast Company/Inc. parent company Mansueto Ventures.
A first-round auction was just staged by DeSilva & Philips.
The firm is currently looking at a $200 million price for the sale; that price is based on the $200 million Inc. received from Gurner + Jahr USA in 2008. According to Keith Kelly, it’s unclear whether Mansueto will be continuing on to the second auction round.
So in all reality, there’s a pretty good chance Entrepreneur employees will have Bono as their boss in the near future. Designer sunglasses not included with the sale.
