Another week and another contract won by one of my clients. JP Cleaning services in Paignton were started over 8 years ago and have 3 members of the same family running the 19 person company. So far they undertook cleaning contracts with local hotels on the English Riviera and also some smaller contracts in offices. After they lost the huge contract for the hotels to a national company Mark Baker the MD decided he needed a new and stronger sector to break into.

Mark got in touch with a local business development agency in Devon who put him in touch with me. Mark and his brother and sister attended one of my courses in Tendering and i then worked with them over the past 5 months. We identified 3 Public Sector contracts in the region we thought they could win, we decided to go for two and they have won the lower value contract but still worth £140k per annum.

This will no doubt now open their portfolio to more Public Sector work. I am still shocked at how many companies and businesses large and small still do not tender for Public Sector contracts! It makes me feel sick because they are missing out!
