STABLEtable goes WobbleWizard in the US

A Scottish entrepreneur rejected by the Dragons Den is launching his product the STABLEtable in the states but under the new name of the WobbleWizard. Reports say that his business has turned over £1 million in the 3 years since launching.

His gadget stops wobbly and uneven tables, it can be adjusted depending on how wobbly the table is to keep it even. He has sold 500,000 in just one order.

Andrew Gordon has struck a deal in the discount chain The Dollar Chest. He has also scored a deal with UK distribution company Massive Housewares which has channels into Tescos and Asda.

I love the way the press is rubbing this in the Dragons face but i think you will find as an investment this wouldn’t have given the Dragons that much of a return 3 years on!

In April this year there was a spate of news saying he’d shown up the Dragons and made £1M etc but there a quick Google shows this: http://www.freelancers.net/freelance-projects/200703/11608.html

A job advert from March this year which says “As I work full-time…”

Which to me suggests that even having allegedly made £1M of sales by then he still did not believe in his idea enough to give it his full attention - he was therefore not investable.
